Nikifor Museum
Nikifor Museum
The NIKIFOR MUSEUM is located in a historic wooden villa "Romanówka", typical of 19th-century spas. The building was located until 1990 at ul. Piłsudski was demolished and after conservation renovation in the years 1992-1994, it was reconstructed in a new place in the center. There are Nikifor's paintings from all periods of his work; both watercolors, gouaches and drawings presenting various themes characteristic of the artist's work: landscapes with Orthodox churches and churches, Krynica architecture, interiors, stations, offices, "dollar factories", portraits, etc. The documentary part of the exhibition consists of memorabilia of Nikifor, publications dedicated to the painter and his photographs. The museum is also a place for presenting exhibitions of famous artists from the circle of non-professional and folk art.
