Regulations for visiting the Nikifor Museum
1. The District Museum in Nowy Sącz - a branch of the NIKIFOR MUSEUM in Krynica-Zdrój, as a unit of the Małopolskie Voivodeship, whose purpose is to permanently protect cultural goods, inform about the values and content of the collected collections, disseminate the basic values of history, science, Polish and world culture, shape cognitive and aesthetic sensitivity and enabling contact with the collections, makes its collections available to visitors on the basis of the following regulations:
- the Act of 21 November 1996 on museums (i.e. Journal of Laws of 2022, item 385);
- the Act of 23 July 2003 on the protection and care of monuments (i.e. Journal of Laws of 2022, item 840),
- the Act of 25 October 1991 on organizing and conducting cultural activities (i.e. Journal of Laws of 2020, item 194, as amended),
- Organizational Regulations of the District Museum in Nowy Sącz of February 26, 2018, I order the following:
2. Exhibitions of the Nikifor Bulwary Museum in Krynica-Zdrój, pl. Dietla 19 in Krynica-Zdrój available
are visitors:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday: 10 - 13; 14 - 17; last entry to the exhibition at 16.30;
Thursday: 10-15; last entrance to the exhibition 14.30;
Sunday: 10 – 15; last entry to the exhibition at 14.30.
3. The Nikifor Museum is closed on Mondays, days after holidays, Easter Saturday, the first and second day of Easter, Corpus Christi and on 1.01., 6.01., 1.11., 24, 25 and 26.12.
4. The day free from admission fees at the NIKIFOR MUSEUM in Krynica-Zdrój is Thursday.
5. Fees for: admission to museum exhibitions are charged on the basis of the price list introduced by order of the Director of the District Museum in Nowy Sącz and based on the provisions of the Museums Act (Article 10(3)) and the statute of the unit.
6. Persons entitled to free admission, listed in the order of the Director of the District Museum in Nowy Sącz on the regulations for visiting the exhibitions of the District Museum in Nowy Sącz, are required to present documents confirming the right to exemption from the fee.
7. The following prohibitions apply in the area of the permanent exhibition and the area of temporary exhibitions:
- touching, moving exhibits
- bring in dangerous and sharp objects;
- bring in firearms;
- bringing in and bringing in animals (excluding guide dogs);
- smoking tobacco and electronic cigarettes;
- eating and drinking;
- conducting conversations using mobile devices;
- entry under the influence of alcohol or drugs
8. Visitors are asked to keep quiet, calm and observe fire regulations.
9. All issues not mentioned in these regulations are resolved by the Director of the District Museum in Nowy Sącz.

Exemptions from fees and reliefs
List to Ordinance No. 8/2023 of of February 23, 2023 of the Director of the District Museum in Nowy Sącz on the regulations for visiting the exhibition of the District Museum in Nowy Sącz (Act of November 21, 1996 on museums (i.e. Journal of Laws 2022. item 385) concerning:
- groups of persons entitled to free admission and reduced fees at the District Museum in Nowy Sącz
- types of documents confirming the right to a fee reduction or exemption from the fee for admission to the District Museum in Nowy Sącz.
The list was prepared on the basis of art. 10 of the Act of 21 November 1996 on museums (Journal of Laws 2022, item 385) and the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of 20 July 2017 on the types of documents confirming the right to a fee reduction or exemption from the fee for admission to state museums (Journal of Laws 2017.1471):
I. Exemption from the entrance fee to the exhibitions at the District Museum in Nowy Sącz is granted to:
1. natural persons awarded the Order of the White Eagle, the War Order of Virtuti Militari, the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland, the Medal "Zasłużony Kulturze Gloria Artis" - art. 10 sec. 3 in relation from paragraph 3b point 1) the act on museums;
2. employees of museums entered in the State Register of Museums - art. 10 sec. 3 in relation from paragraph 3b point 2) the act on museums;
3. members of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) or the International Council for the Protection of Monuments (ICOMOS) - art. 10 sec. 3 in relation from paragraph 3b point 4) the act on museums;
4. holders of the Pole's Card - art. 10 sec. 3 in relation from paragraph 3b point 4) the act on museums;
5. for children under the age of 7 - art. 10 sec. 3 in relation from paragraph 3b point 5) the act on museums;
6. veterans and injured veterans.
II. The admission fee of PLN 1 for the exhibitions at the District Museum in Nowy Sącz is due (Article 10(3) of the Museums Act):
1. participants of organized groups of people with disabilities (including their guardians), who are citizens of the European Union Member States, the Swiss Confederation and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) Member States - parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area;
2. entitled under the Nowosądecka Family Card.
III. The reduced fee for admission to the exhibitions at the District Museum in Nowy Sącz is available to:
1. students of schools of the education system, students of colleges of social service workers, students and persons pursuing doctoral studies - art. 10 sec. 3 in relation from paragraph 3a point 1) the act on museums;
2. school pupils, students and persons pursuing doctoral studies who are citizens of the Member States of the European Union, the Swiss Confederation and the Member States of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) - parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area - art. 10 sec. 3 in relation from paragraph 3a point 2) the act on museums;
3. students of schools run by social organizations abroad, registered in the database maintained by an authorized unit subordinate to the minister competent for education and upbringing, during the period of learning the Polish language, history, geography, Polish culture or other subjects taught in Polish, no longer than until the age of 18 - art. 10 sec. 3 in relation from paragraph 3a point 3) the act on museums;
4. students of schools operating in the education systems of other countries during the period of learning the Polish language, history, geography, Polish culture or other subjects taught in Polish, no longer than until the age of 18 - art. 10 sec. 3 in relation from paragraph 3a point 4) the act on museums;
5. students of Polish sections operating in schools operating in the education systems of other countries, no longer than until the age of 18 - art. 10 sec. 3 in relation from paragraph 3a point 5) the act on museums;
6. students of European schools operating on the basis of the Convention on the Statute of European Schools, drawn up in Luxembourg on June 21, 1994.

7. people over 65 years of age, pensioners, pensioners, social pensioners, disabled people with their carers - visiting the exhibitions individually, being citizens of the European Union Member States, the Swiss Confederation and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) member states - parties to the agreement
on the European Economic Area - art. 10 sec. 3 in relation from paragraph 3a point 7).
8. teachers:
a) schools and educational system institutions, juvenile detention centers and shelters for juveniles - art. 10 sec. 3 in relation from paragraph 3a point 8 lit. a) the act on museums,
b) schools operating in the Member States of the European Union, the Swiss Confederation and the Member States of the European Agreement
on Free Trade (EFTA) - parties to the agreement on the European Economic Area - art. 10 sec. 3 in relation from paragraph 3a point 8 lit. b) the act on museums,
c) schools run by social organizations abroad, registered in the database maintained by an authorized entity subordinate to the minister competent for education and upbringing - art. 10 sec. 3 in relation from paragraph 3a point 8 lit. c) the act on museums,
d) teaching Polish language, history, geography, Polish culture or other subjects taught in Polish in:
· schools operating in the education systems of other countries,
· Polish sections functioning in the education systems of other countries,
· the European Schools operating on the basis of the Convention on the Statute of the European Schools, signed in Luxembourg on 21 June 1994;
- article 10 sec. 3 in relation from paragraph 3a point 8d) of the Act on museums
9. natural persons awarded the badge "For the care of monuments", the honorary badge "Zasłużony Dziecz Kultury" (Meritorious Cultural Activist), the honorary badge "Meritorious for Polish Culture" or awarded the honorary title "Meritorious for National Culture" - art. 10 sec. 3 in relation from paragraph 3a point 9) the act on museums;
10. combatants - art. 10 sec. 3 in relation from paragraph 3a point 10) the act on museums.
IV. The documents confirming the right to exemption from the fee for admission to the District Museum in Nowy Sącz are the documents listed in § 2 of the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of July 20, 2017 on the types of documents confirming the right to a reduction in the fee or exemption from the fee for admission to state museums (Journal of Laws 2017.1471):
1) an identity card certifying the award of an order or a medal referred to in Art. 10 sec. 3b point 1 of the Act;
2) an official ID card for the persons referred to in Art. 10 sec. 3b point 2 of the Act;
3) ICOM Membership Card or ICOMOS Membership Card;
4) Pole's Card;
5) document confirming age.
V. Documents confirming the right to a discount on the admission fee to the exhibitions of the District Museum in Nowy Sącz are the documents listed in § 1 of the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of July 20, 2017 on the types of documents confirming the right to a discount or exemption from the admission fee to state museums (Journal of Laws 2017.1471):
1) school, student, student, doctoral student ID;
2) student ID card issued by the consul of the Republic of Poland pursuant to art. 6 sec. 3 of the Act of June 20, 1992 on entitlements to concessionary travel on means of public collective transport (i.e. Journal of Laws of 2018, item 292)
3) a teacher's ID card issued by the consul of the Republic of Poland on the basis of art. 6 sec. 3 of the Act of 20 June 1992 on entitlements to concessionary travel by means of public collective transport;
4) a pensioner's ID card;
5) ID card documenting disability or degree of disability;
6) an official ID card for the persons referred to in Art. 10 sec. 3a point 8 lit. a and b of the Act of 21 November 1996 on museums, hereinafter referred to as "the Act";
7) an identity card certifying the award of a badge or title referred to in Art. 10 sec. 3a point 9 of the Act;
8) certificate or ID card confirming veteran's entitlements;
9) document confirming age;
10) another document confirming the entitlement of the persons referred to in:
a) 10 sec. 3a point 2, pt. 7 and point 8 lit. b of the Act, issued in a Member State of the European Union other than the Republic of Poland, the Swiss Confederation and in the Member States of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) - parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area,
b) 10 sec. 3a point 8 lit. c of the act.

IV. The documents confirming the right to exemption from the fee for admission to the District Museum in Nowy Sącz are the documents listed in § 2 of the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of July 20, 2017 on the types of documents confirming the right to a reduction in the fee or exemption from the fee for admission to state museums (Journal of Laws 2017.1471):
