Sądecki Historical Walk+. Turn to turn
The educational project MUSEUM OF THE SĄDEC LANDS is carried out based on museum spaces and selected places in Nowy Sącz referring to the history of railways in the Nowy Sącz region.
Program:
Main Building ul. Jagiellońska 56
- visiting the temporary and permanent exhibition: the history of Nowy Sącz from obtaining Galician autonomy after the end of World War II, the reconstruction of the city after the fire in 1894, the Great War 1914 - 1918, the interwar period, World War II;
- visiting the exhibition dedicated to Bolesław Barbacki, learning about his figure and artistic achievements;
Walk under the guidance of a Museum guide
- ul. Jagiellońska: villa "Maria";, "Ciuciubabka" designed by Zenon Adam Remi;
- Old Cemetery (place of the ashes of B. Barbacki and B. Pieracki);
- al. Wolności: MOK, i.e. the former Shooting House named after Bronisław Pieracki;
- ul. 1st State Fire Service: Carpathian Border Guard Unit named after the 1st Podhale Rifle Regiment;
- ul. Zygmuntowska: Workers' House at Zygmuntowska;
- historic district "Old Kolonia";
- Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Nowy Sącz designed by Teodor Talowski;
- ul. Kolejowa: Art Nouveau railway station with landscapes by Edmund Cieczkiewicz, Planty Kolejowe from the perspective of the observation deck;
- platform 1 of the railway station: visiting the outdoor exhibition - sections of the railway track with historic signs, a semaphore and track bogies.
Organizational information (principles of project implementation)
1. Date: Tuesday - Sunday from 9.30 – 15.
2. Payment: PLN 10/person.
3. Starting time of classes: to be agreed, duration: approx. 1.5 – 2.5 hours. or according to separate arrangements.
4. Registration is first come first served, places are limited.
5. Applications and reservations for groups of up to 25 people: by phone: 18 443 77 08 extension 129 or e-mail kasagg@muzeum.sacz.pl
6. It is possible to modify the route (e.g. shorten it, adjust it to the group's time constraints).
