Father Michał Drożdż died
We regret to receive information about the death of Father Michał Drożdż. The priest was associated not only with the scientific and media community of Kraków and Tarnów, but also with our Museum. We have cooperated for many years. It will remain in our memory.
Father Michael Drożdż
Father Michał Drożdż died on June 15 after a long and serious illness. He was 65 years old. He was born in Nowy Sącz, spent his childhood and youth in the nearby Żeleźnikowa. In 1977, he passed his final exams at II LO im. Maria Konopnicka in Nowy Sącz. He was ordained a priest in 1983 by Bishop Jerzy Ablewicz. In 2003, he obtained the degree of Doctor of Humanities in the field of philosophy.
He was a philosopher, theologian, media expert, associate professor at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow, dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the State Higher Vocational School in Tarnów, director of the Institute of Journalism and Social Communication and head of the Department of Media and Social Communication at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Cracow.
He was also a member of the Program Council of TVP and TVP Kraków, he was the program director of Radio Plus (RDN Małopolska). He wrote many articles and books.
