Exhibition "My Adventure in the Museum 2024/2025 Edition"
Ladies and Gentlemen,
We present a post-competition exhibition of children's and youth art works
carried out as part of the ADVENTURE WITH ART – MUSEUM INSPIRATIONS competition, which is, in a new formula, a continuation of the International Artistic Meetings for Children and Youth and the My Adventure in the Museum project carried out by the District Museum in Toruń and the City of Toruń, and for over 30 years, at the regional stage, by the Nowy Sącz Museum.
It is worth noting that during this time, young artists from Nowy Sącz achieved success, winning numerous awards and distinctions; their works were presented not only at post-competition exhibitions of individual editions at the District Museum in Toruń, but also in European and Asian countries. Their art supervisors and Nowy Sącz museum workers were also awarded.
The involvement of the Nowy Sącz Museum in art education and the development of talented young artists has been noticed and appreciated, and also awarded twice by the organizers of this project in:
• 2004 with the award of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education and Sport "for promoting museums and interests in art among children and youth";
• 2019 with the award of the District Museum in Toruń and the City of Toruń "for creating innovative artistic solutions and outstanding achievements in the process of cultural education of children and youth".
Our long-term partners in the implementation of this project and accompanying events are: Primary School No. 7 named after the Defenders of Peace in Nowy Sącz (currently School and Kindergarten Complex No. 5 in Nowy Sącz) and the "For the City" Association in Nowy Sącz.
We would like to thank all those who, for over three decades, have been involved in the organisation of this competition, post-competition exhibitions presented in museum spaces and other activities aimed at interest-
ing the young generation in the history, culture and traditions of our region, museum collections and their scientific, historical and artistic values, and who supported us in shaping artistic preferences and developing artistic abilities and improving the artistic skills of children and young people.
