4th Sensitive Culture Festival
For the fourth time, the Sącz Land Museum is participating in the Festival of Inclusive Culture—a unique initiative that unites cultural institutions across the Małopolska region each year around the ideas of accessibility and openness to the needs of every audience member. This year’s edition is held under the theme "Art of the Senses."
The Festival of Inclusive Culture was created with people with disabilities in mind—as well as anyone who might face barriers to accessing culture in their daily lives. It offers more than just inclusive events; it is an invitation to a world of culture accessible to everyone. It is a unique opportunity to discover how diversity enriches the cultural experience and how much we can learn from one another. After all, culture should unite rather than divide, serving as a shared language that breaks down barriers and opens the door to mutual understanding.
This year’s edition of the Festival involves 38 cultural institutions from across the Małopolska region, presenting a combined total of around 90 events. Performances, concerts, workshops, guided tours, and walks will take place in over a dozen towns and cities throughout the region. A key theme of this year’s program is the multisensory exploration of culture—including through experiences that go beyond traditional modes of engagement.

We invite you to the opening of the 4th Sensitive Culture Festival on September 20th at our branch—the Nikifor Museum in Krynica-Zdrój—for an event titled "Accessible Art – A Meeting at the Nikifor Museum."
We have prepared a range of accessible events centered around the exhibited collection of Nikifor’s works and various art activities. The artistic experience will culminate in a performance titled "NIKIFOR: 2 Images," directed by Szymon Budzyk and performed by the Teatr Tej Ziemi (Theatre of This Land) troupe. This spoken-word and musical performance illustrates Nikifor’s life and work, transporting the audience to the landscapes of Krynica as they appeared when the artist wandered its streets, creating art and drawing inspiration.
On September 22nd, we invite you to another branch—the J. Szalay Pieniny Museum in Szlachtowa—for an event titled "Touch Tradition – Pieniny for Everyone."
We have prepared numerous attractions showcasing the life and culture of the Pieniny region. The adventure begins in a sensory garden designed to engage multiple senses; here, sensory workshops will offer the chance to discover traditional recipes from the Pieniny area. Through the sounds of traditional instruments, we will explore the unique character and musical atmosphere of the Pieniny region.
