The collection of works by Władysława Iwańska was donated to the Sądecka Land Museum

On December 12th, an agreement was signed at the Gothic House, under which the City of Nowy Sącz transferred the artistic legacy of Władysława Iwańska (1927-2005) to the Sądecka Region Museum.

The museum acquired a total of 1,361 works: 1,194 larger paintings and 167 miniatures. These include both very early works and later ones – the artist's entire oeuvre.

The signing of the agreement was attended by Dr. Robert Ślusarek, Director of the Sądecka Region Museum, and Deputy Director Sławomir Czop, as well as Artur Bochenek, Deputy Mayor of Nowy Sącz, Tomasz Baliczek, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports at the Nowy Sącz City Hall, and Renata Seruga-Tokarz, City Treasurer.

Władysława Iwańska is considered one of the most outstanding representatives of contemporary "intuitive" painting in Poland today. The year 2025 has been declared the Year of Władysława Iwańska in Nowy Sącz.
