The 2025 Szczęsny Morawski “Sądecczyzna” Awards have been presented.
On July 3, 2026, the presentation ceremony for the Szczęsny Morawski Honorary "Sądecczyzna" Awards took place at the Town Hall of the Galician Town (part of the Sącz Region Museum). The awards were presented to authors of books published in 2025 concerning the history of the Sącz region. This marked the nineteenth edition of the award, which was established in 2007 through the initiative of *Almanach Muszyny* in collaboration with partners from the Sącz region. The award is administered by the Sącz Region Museum and the Wiktor Bazielich District and Town-and-Commune Public Library in Stary Sącz.
The Award Committee, comprising representatives of the organizers and laureates of previous editions, presented awards in both categories stipulated by the regulations.
In the individual works category, the Committee awarded the prize to the book *Antoni i jego dzieci* [Antoni and His Children] by Rafał Skąpski, published by the Historia i Kultura Foundation. An equal award went to the book *Sącz mimo wszystko stoi przy Kościele. Nowosądeckie parafie w latach 1945–1956. Zarys monograficzny* [Sącz Stands by the Church Despite Everything: Nowy Sącz Parishes in the Years 1945–1956 – A Monographic Outline] by Dr. Jakub Marcin Bulzak. This book was published by the Museum of the Sącz Region (consequently, Dr. Robert Ślusarek did not participate in the vote).
In the collective works category, the Committee awarded the prize to the book *Parafia Łososina Górna od średniowiecza po czasy współczesne* [The Łososina Górna Parish from the Middle Ages to Modern Times], edited by Professor Zdzisław Noga. The work was published by the Księgarnia Akademicka publishing house. The authors of the texts in the awarded book are: Fr. Kazimierz Fąfara, Dorota Żurek, Mirosław Płonka, Konrad Meus, Krzysztof Kloc, Konrad Kołodziejczyk, Janusz Guzik, and Anna Forczek-Sajd.
In keeping with tradition, the award recipients received commemorative plaques crafted by the renowned Sącz-based heritage conservator Józef Stec. The summary of the 20th anniversary edition of the award will take place in July 2027 in Stary Sącz, a town closely linked to Szczęsny Morawski, the award’s patron.
