Opening of the exhibition "Piotr Piotrowski. Painting on glass"

The meeting guests were welcomed by the curator of the exhibition, ethnographer Zbigniew Wolanin, who, on behalf of himself and the Director of the Museum, Robert Ślusarek, thanked everyone present for coming.

Among the guests of the opening, there were a large group of several dozen people, former colleagues and friends of Mr. Piotr from the Museum. Władysław Orkan in Rabka and the "Rabcio" Puppet Theater, in which institutions Piotrowski worked for several dozen years.

During the opening, both official guests, including the Director of the Museum in Rabka, Mr. Wojciech Kusiak, and friends from various circles from Krynica, Rabka, Muszyna and Nowy Sącz congratulated the artist. The gathered people applauded the speech of Mr. Józef Tokarz from Jazów, a well-known regionalist and leader of the highlander folk group "Łącko", who came to the opening in Krynica almost directly from the Highlander Carnival in Bukowina Tatrzańska. The warm and cordial atmosphere of the meeting showed how much sympathy Piotr Piotrowski enjoys in various circles, especially among mountain people, among museum workers and among artists inspired by folk culture in their work.

The guests of the opening offered many flowers to the painter and raised a toast to the success of the exhibition and further artistic successes of Mr. Piotr.
The visibly moved painter, who came to the opening with his children and grandchildren, shared with the opening participants his personal memories related to the Nowy Sącz region and Krynica, dating back to the times when, as a young man, he was hiking in the Beskid Mountains, and in Krynica he met Nikifor himself.
