Educational activities "Young Archaeologist"
We invite you to workshops during which you will learn how to discover and document traces of the past.
The workshops will take place at the archaeological exhibition "Zyndram's Hill. A Mysterious Fortress from 3,700 Years Ago." There, you will be transported to the Sądecczyzna region during the era of the first defensive settlements and will explore a place that houses some of the oldest stone fortifications in this part of Europe. The exhibition tells the story of archaeological research conducted in Maszkowice near Łącko and the lives of the ancient inhabitants of this unique settlement. Among other things, you can see objects made of bone, bronze, amber, and ceramics discovered during excavations.
Participants will try their hand at simulated excavations, learn about archaeological tools, weigh, measure, and describe finds, and attempt to reconstruct vessels and ornaments from thousands of years ago.
The exhibition and workshops offer a unique opportunity to discover the fascinating world of archaeology
and see how science meets the passion for discovery. Come to classes in the Main Building and collect your Young Archaeologist diploma!
