Opening of the exhibition "Dwurnik-Drowniak. Inspirations"
On September 6, 2025, we opened the exhibition "Dwurnik-Drowniak. Inspirations" at the Nikifor Museum in Krynica-Zdrój. It is an artistic "conversation" between two artists: the naive painter Nikifor, Epifaniusz Drowniak, and Edward Dwurnik, a renowned professional painter who once became fascinated by the Krynica master and attempted to paint in the "Nikiforesque" manner. Dwurnik imitated the style, but left his own emotions and gestures in his paintings, making them as unique as Nikifor's paintings. The exhibition is curated by Sławomir Majoch.
The exhibition at the Nikifor Museum was prepared to commemorate the 130th anniversary of Epifaniusz Drowniak's birth and the 60th anniversary of Dwurnik's discovery of the Krynica master.
