Museum trails of culture - removing barriers to access to the culture and heritage of the region

The project "Museum cultural trails - removing barriers to access to the culture and heritage of the region" is a popularizing and educational activity, it will bring the topics related to the presented museum exhibitions in an accessible way for people with disabilities and families with children in 2 branches of the Pieniny Museum and the Main Building.

Project goals

The main goal of the project is to create a new offer in the field of cultural education for people with intellectual, sight and hearing disabilities, people on the autism spectrum and families with children.

The project includes the preparation of:

– 2 sightseeing paths,

– 2 guides to the branches of the Main Building and the Pieniny Museum with a therapeutic aspect,

– organization of 5 meetings without barriers,

– recording of 4 museum lessons,

– making available educational materials,

– 5 therapeutic educational activities,

– making copies of exhibits by students of the State Secondary School of Fine Arts named after Jan Matejko in Nowy Wiśnicz and the charges of the Environmental Self-Help Center in Nowy Sącz.

Therapists will be involved in the project, their task will be to select appropriate tools to facilitate the reception of the discussed topics by people with disabilities.
