COMPETITION REGULATIONS
The honorary chairman of the jury is the parish priest. Saint Małgorzata in Nowy Sącz, Fr. Dr. Jerzy Jurkiewicz. The chairman of the competition committee assessing the works is the director of School and Kindergarten Complex No. 1
in Nowy Sącz (commission composition: 2 representatives of the District Museum in Nowy Sącz, teachers of technology, religion, history and art, representatives of the Co-organizers).
The organizers recommend conducting an internal competition in schools and selecting the best works.
1. Primary school students from Nowy Sącz and the Nowy Sącz district can take part in the competition, working individually or in teams (no more than 3 people in a team).
2. A school can be represented by a maximum of 3 nativity scenes.
3. The nativity scene can be made by no more than 3 students.
4. School and Kindergarten Complex No. 1 in Nowy Sącz, as the Organizer, has the right to submit 6 nativity scenes.
5. Nativity scenes can be made of various materials and should not contain factory-made elements. The dimensions of nativity scenes are allowed up to 60 cm x 60 cm x 60 cm.
6. Entries may only participate in one edition of the competition.
7. The competition committee will evaluate the overall artistic expression, reference to Christmas traditions and themes, work input, creativity and accuracy, and will qualify the works for awards.

8. Participation in the competition should be confirmed by phone (phone no. 18 444-34-80) at the office of the School and Kindergarten Complex No. 1 in Nowy Sącz or by e-mail to sp3@edu.nowysacz.pl by November 17, 2023.
9. The organizers reserve the right to create three age categories: grades I-III, grades IV-VI, VII-VIII. The number of categories and the number of awards and distinctions awarded in each category depend on the number of submitted works.
10. The organizers plan to award prizes and distinctions in each age category.
11. Works should be submitted to the library of the School and Kindergarten Complex No. 1 in Nowy Sącz, ul. Szkolna 7 (Building B - 1st floor) until December 5, 2023, during library opening hours, i.e. Tuesday from 7.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m., Wednesday from 12.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. and Friday from 7.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.
12. Submitted nativity scenes should be accompanied by a certificate containing: name and surname of the author, age, name of the school.
and class and value of the work at the author's discretion. In the case of mechanized sheds, an operating manual must be provided.
13. The competition results will be announced on December 8, 2023 at 10 - 13 at the School and Kindergarten Complex No. 1
in Nowy Sącz.
14. The announcement of the results, the award ceremony and the opening of the exhibition will take place on December 15, 2023.
at 12.00 in the Maria Ritter Gallery, Rynek 2 in Nowy Sącz.
15. The awarded and distinguished nativity scenes will be presented at the post-competition exhibition at the Maria Ritter Gallery, Rynek 2 in Nowy Sącz from December 15, 2023 to February 2, 2024.
16. Works not qualified for awards, distinctions and exhibitions can be collected between December 8 and 15, 2023, at the library of the School and Kindergarten Complex No. 1 in Nowy Sącz (Building B - 1st floor) during the library's opening hours specified above. After this date, the works will be transferred to social welfare centers.
17. The works presented at the post-competition exhibition at the Maria Ritter Gallery, Rynek 2 in Nowy Sącz will be available for collection in the library of the School and Kindergarten Complex No. 1 in Nowy Sącz after the exhibition closes, i.e. on February 26 - March 1, 2024, during library opening hours given above. After this date, the nativity scenes become the property of the Organizer and will be donated to charity.
18. The organizers reserve the right to use the works submitted for the competition free of charge for promotional purposes (in all fields of use).
19. A necessary condition for participation in the competition is to attach, in the form of a declaration, consent to the use of personal data of competition participants during activities related to its implementation.
