80th anniversary of the Battle of Monte Cassino - activities of the Institute of National Remembrance

On May 18, 1944, the Polish flag was raised over the ruins of the Monte Cassino monastery and the St. Mary's bugle call played by Emil Czech was sounded. It was the finale of the four-month battle for the hill, which went down in war chronicles as one of the bloodiest. Polish soldiers covered themselves with glory, and their memory lives on. The Institute of National Remembrance pays tribute to the heroes of Monte Cassino by participating in state ceremonies and organizing many events throughout Poland, in which we invite you to participate.
