Event
Educational event "Utilitarian and edible plants"
Plants played a very important role in the lives of villagers. Potatoes and cabbage were components of everyday food, medicinal mixtures were made from dandelion, St. John's wort or chamomile, and oil was pressed from linseed. On the other hand, fiber plants, such as flax or nettle, were used to make yarn. Wood was widely used - houses were built from it, wheels for carts, furniture and household items were made of it. We invite you to the Nowy Sącz open-air museum for an educational event dedicated to plants. The program includes interesting workshops, shows and talks.
