Event
Film "Biała Woda - a forgotten village on the Wallachian culture trail"
On behalf of the creators and patrons, we cordially invite you to the screening of a film dedicated to Biała Woda, a village that was once part of the so-called Noble Ruthenia.

We are co-organizers of a project whose main goal is to make a film about the history, culture and unique natural and landscape values of Biała Woda - one of the four villages that were part of the so-called Noble Ruthenia. Over the course of several months, we recorded interviews with former villagers and scientists, historical reconstructions, attempts to recreate musical traditions, documentation and research activities.
The results of these activities will soon be seen in a film that will have two premieres. The first one will take place in a closed circle of invited guests, the second one will be open. We invite everyone interested to the second part on October 8 (Sunday) at 10.30 in the Fire Department building in Jaworki.
On October 7 at 1:30 p.m. there will be a liturgy in the Greek Catholic rite in the church of St. John the Baptist in Jaworki (former Orthodox church). We dedicate the film to all former inhabitants of Noble Ruthenia.
The work on the film is being carried out by Justyna Cząstka - Kłapyta and Krzysztof Krzyżanowski (screenplay) - a pioneer of ethnic films dedicated to Carpathian Ruthenians. This is a continuation of the search for traces of tradition and unwritten history in sources and accounts of former residents, which was partially discovered by the "Music Without Borders" project (Good Will Foundation).
The patron of the project is the Zapomniany Świat Foundation from Jaworki. The organizers of the project are: an informal group of the Carpathian local initiative - Justyna and Piotr Kłapyta and Anna Mikołajczyk-Szarek, PTTK Szczawnica and the Pieniny Museum. Józef Szalay in Szlachtowa.
Carpathian local initiative financed by the Government Program Civic Initiatives Fund NOWEFIO for 2021-2030 through the "Pro Carpathia" Association.
We would like to thank the VOLUNTEER FIRE SERVICE FROM JAWOREKI for providing the room for the film lecture.
