3rd Festival of Sensitive Culture. Visit to the Nikifor Museum.
The Festival of Sensitive Culture begins on September 1st, a project of 28 cultural institutions from the Małopolska Voivodeship, aiming to promote inclusivity and broad access to culture. The Sądecka Region Museum's festival offering includes a tour of the Nikifor Museum and the temporary exhibition "Dwurnik-Drowniak. Inspirations." We cordially invite you!
The Nikifor Museum in Krynica-Zdrój presents the work of one of the world's most renowned painters from the intuitive art movement, Nikifor, who lived in Krynica almost his entire life. It features Nikifor's paintings from all periods of his career, executed in watercolor and gouache, as well as drawings featuring a variety of the artist's signature themes: landscapes with Orthodox churches and churches, Krynica architecture, interiors, train stations, offices, "dollar factories," portraits, and more. Nikifor memorabilia, publications about the painter, and his photographs are on display.
An additional attraction will be the opportunity to visit the temporary exhibition "Dwurnik-Drowniak. Inspirations." The artist was inspired by Nikifor's work, particularly his naive style and depiction of cities and everyday life. Dwurnik created colorful, detailed city panoramas, often distorting perspective to emphasize individual perspectives.
The tour will utilize ETR descriptions, typhlographic images, and specially available guides to the department. Tour participants will be accompanied by an accessibility coordinator.
