"My Nikifor" - screening on the 20th anniversary of the film's premiere

In 2004 (how quickly time passes!) the film "My Nikifor" directed by Krzysztof Krauze and his wife Joanna Kos-Krauze was released. It tells the story of the relationship between the painter and photographer Marian Włosiński and Nikifor in the last years of his life. Krystyna Feldman gave an excellent performance, showered with awards, as a Lemko artist and a self-taught painter. The film was shot mainly in Krynica-Zdrój and nearby towns.
On the 20th anniversary of the premiere, the Krynica Cultural Center and the Museum of the Sądecka Region invite you to a special broadcast of the film Moje Nikifor, which will take place on September 28, 2024 at 3.00 p.m. in the Amphitheater under Góra Parkowa.
Tickets cost PLN 10 and can be purchased at the Jaworzyna II Cinema or in the amphitheater one hour before the film screening (from 2 p.m.).

The introduction will be given by Zbigniew Wolanin, curator of the Nikifor Museum and an expert on the artist's work. You will also be able to see photos from the film set by Piotr Droździk.

Welcome to Krynica-Zdrój!
