"Krynica 24" exhibition
"Krynica 24" - this is the title of the exhibition of works by artists from the "Galeria pod Kasztanem" Association in Krynica-Zdrój. It brings together painters, sculptors and poets, photographers, as well as professional artists, mainly from the city and commune of Krynica-Zdrój, but friendly artists from other towns are also members of the association.

The aim of the "Galeria pod Kasztanem" Association is to integrate and promote the local creative environment by organizing exhibitions and vernissages, meetings with authors and occasional meetings, and open-air painting events. Catalogs and folders from exhibitions and other occasional publications are also published. The association establishes artistic contacts with people of culture and art, also from outside the Nowy Sącz region. Joint trips and artistic open-air events are organized, also abroad, giving the opportunity to learn about, cooperate with and integrate with various creative communities. Krynica artists successfully participate in various art competitions.

The aim of the "Galeria pod Kasztanem" Association is to integrate and promote the local creative environment by organizing exhibitions and vernissages, meetings with authors and occasional meetings, and open-air painting events. Krynica artists successfully participate in various art competitions.
Members of the Association have been an informal group of friends of this institution from the very beginning of the Nikifor Museum in Krynica, i.e. since 1995. They have presented their works in the museum many times, both at individual and collective exhibitions. They were present at all important events and anniversaries of this facility, including: in 2018, they prepared and presented an exhibition in the museum entitled "Inspirations with Nikifor", included in the series of activities undertaken at the spa to honor the 50th anniversary of the artist's death.
The Association's cultural activities are well perceived and enjoy social recognition not only in Krynica, but in the entire region. This was expressed, among others, by: the Association was awarded the Golden Apple of Sądecki by the Starosta of Nowy Sącz in 2013. In the same year, the Mayor of Krynica-Zdrój Dariusz Reśko and the City Council honored the Association with the "Golden Coat of Arms of Krynica". Earlier, in 2008, the Minister of Culture and National Heritage awarded the Association the medal "Merit for Polish Culture".
