Appendix No. 3 to Order No. 25/2025 of the Director of the Sądecka Land Museum of 22 April 2025 regarding the regulations for visiting the Galician Town branch
Regulations for visitors of the SĄDECK LAND MUSEUM - Galician Town in Nowy Sącz

1. The SĄDECK LAND Museum address: 33-300 Nowy Sącz, ul. Jagiellońska 56, as a unit of the Małopolska Province, whose goal is to permanently protect cultural assets, inform about the values and content of the collected collections, popularize the basic values of history, science, Polish and world culture, shape cognitive and aesthetic sensitivity and enable contact with the collections, makes its collections available for visiting based on the provisions of:
- the Act of 21 November 1996 on museums;
- the Act of 23 July 2003 on the protection and care of monuments;
- Act of 25 October 1991 on the organisation and conduct of cultural activities;
- Organisational Regulations of the Museum of the Sądecka Region of 26 February 2018, as amended;
- § 11 section 3 item 6 of the Statute of the Museum of the Sądecka Region constituting an annex to Resolution No. LXVII/1008/23 of the Regional Assembly of the Małopolska Province of 29 May 2023 on the adoption of the new content of the statute of the Museum of the Sądecka Region, a cultural institution of the Małopolska Province, as amended.
2. The exhibitions of the Galician Town in Nowy Sącz are open to visitors during the following periods:
May 1st – October 15th
Tuesday – Sunday from 10am to 6pm, last admission to the exhibition at 5pm,
October 16th – April 30th
Tuesday – Sunday from 9am to 4pm, last admission at 3pm.
3. The Galician Town in Nowy Sącz is closed on Mondays, Easter Saturday, the first and second day of Easter, Corpus Christi and January 1st, January 6th, November 1st, December 24th, 25th and 26th.
4. Wednesday is a day free from admission fees.
5. Fees for: admission to museum exhibitions are collected based on the price list introduced by the order of the Director of the Sądecka Land Museum and based on the provisions of the Museum Act (Article 10, paragraph 3) and the entity's statute.
6. Persons entitled to free admission and reduced fees for permanent and temporary exhibitions and types of documents confirming entitlement to a fee reduction or exemption from the entry fee for permanent and temporary exhibitions are listed in the list to Order No. 25/2025 of 22.04.2025 of the Director of the Sądecka Land Museum on new regulations for visiting the exhibitions of the Sądecka Land Museum.
7. The following prohibitions apply to the exhibition area:
- bringing dangerous and sharp objects;
- bringing firearms;
- smoking tobacco and electronic cigarettes;
- eating and drinking outside designated areas;
- visiting after consuming alcohol or intoxicants;
- making telephone calls using mobile devices in the exhibition buildings;
- touching, moving exhibits, destroying objects;
- destroying greenery;
- entering the area of the Galician Town in Nowy Sącz by car;
- cycling (bicycles can be carried through the MG area).
8. Visitors are kindly requested to:
- maintain peace and quiet;
- use only the tour routes;
- not litter the area;
- behave safely in special places, such as ditches, wetlands;
- follow the guide's recommendations and observe fire safety regulations.
9. Visitors may bring dogs into the Galician Town in Nowy Sącz only on a leash (leash, rope) and with a muzzle. The owner is obliged to clean up after their dog. Animals may not enter historic buildings and exhibition halls (excluding guide dogs).
10. The guide has the right to check the possession of a valid entry ticket.
11. Photographing and filming museum exhibitions for private (amateur, non-commercial) purposes is free of charge, provided that it does not obstruct the visit of other people.
- Filming or photographing museum exhibitions using a tripod or flash (including using flashlights, additional light sources) is prohibited.
- Photographing and filming for commercial purposes (in particular: publications, including in social media, short and full-length films, reports, competition productions, advertising), as well as using for these purposes photographs and films that were previously taken for private purposes, is subject to a fee. The amount of the fee is determined on the basis of an agreement concluded with the Museum.
- Performing professional photography or film sessions, such as occasional photo sessions - weddings, souvenirs, etc., is subject to a fee and requires the prior consent of the Director, specifying, among other things, the formal and financial conditions of a given implementation. The fee is specified in the price list introduced by the order of the Museum Director based on the provisions of the Act on Museums (Article 10, paragraph 3) and the unit's statute and published on the Museum's website at www.muzeum.sacz.pl
- The Museum Director may limit or completely prohibit the taking of photographs, filming, etc. that could violate the property interests of the owners of exhibits, violate the safety of exhibits or the safety of the Museum, as well as in cases arising from legal regulations.
12. Personal data protection.
All information regarding personal data protection is available on the website www.muzeum.sacz.pl
13. All matters not listed in these regulations are decided by the Director of the Sądecka Land Museum based in Nowy Sącz.
Purchasing a ticket and staying on the premises of the Museum automatically implies acceptance of the principles of these Regulations.

Exemptions from fees and reliefs
List for regulation no. 25/2025 of 22.04.2025 of the Director of the Sądecka Land Museum on the establishment of new regulations for visiting the exhibition of the Sądecka Land Museum (Act of 21 November 1996 on museums concerning:
- a group of persons entitled to free admission and reduced fees at the Sądecka Land Museum - types of documents confirming entitlement to a fee reduction or exemption from the entry fee to the Sądecka Land Museum.
The list was developed on the basis of art. 10 of the Act of 21 November 1996 on museums and the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of 20 July 2017 on the types of documents confirming entitlement to a fee reduction or exemption from the entry fee to state museums:
I. Exemption from the entry fee to exhibitions at the Sądecka Land Museum is granted to:
1. individuals awarded the Order of the White Eagle, the Virtuti Militari Military Order, the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland, the Medal of Merit to Culture Gloria Artis – art. 10 sec. 3 in connection with sec. 3b item 1) of the Act on Museums;
2. employees of museums entered in the State Register of Museums – art. 10 sec. 3 in connection with sec. 3b item 2) of the Act on Museums;
3. members of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) or the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) – art. 10 sec. 3 in connection with sec. 3b item 4) of the Act on Museums;
4. holders of the Polish Card – art. 10 sec. 3 in connection with with paragraph 3b point 4) of the Museums Act;
5. children up to 7 years of age – art. 10 paragraph 3 in connection with paragraph 3b point 5) of the Museums Act;
6. veterans and injured veterans – art. 10 paragraph 3 in connection with paragraph 3b point 6) of the Museums Act.
Documents confirming entitlement to exemption from the entry fee to the Sądecka Land Museum are the documents listed in § 2 of the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of 20 July 2017 on the types of documents confirming entitlement to a fee reduction or exemption from the entry fee to state museums;
1) an ID card confirming the award of an order or medal, referred to in art. 10 sec. 3b item 1 of the Act;
2) an official ID card for persons referred to in art. 10 sec. 3b item 2 of the Act;
3) an ICOM Membership Card or ICOMOS Membership Card;
4) the Polish Card;
5) a document confirming age.
II. Reduced entry fees for exhibitions at the Sądecka Land Museum are available to:
1. students of schools, students of social service colleges, students and persons taking doctoral studies – art. 10 sec. 3 in connection with sec. 3a item 1) of the Act on Museums;
2. students of schools, students and persons taking doctoral studies who are citizens of the Member States of the European Union, the Swiss Confederation and the Member States of the European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA) – parties to the agreement on the European Economic Area – art. 10 sec. 3 in connection with sec. 3a item 2) of the Act on Museums;
3. students of schools run by social organizations abroad, registered in the database kept by an authorized entity subordinate to the minister responsible for education and upbringing, during the period of learning Polish, history, geography, Polish culture or other subjects taught in Polish, no longer than until the age of 18 – art. 10 sec. 3 in connection with sec. 3a item 3) of the Act on Museums;
4. students of schools operating in the education systems of other countries during the period of learning Polish, history, geography, Polish culture or other subjects taught in Polish, no longer than until the age of 18 – art. 10 sec. 3 in connection with sec. 3a item 4) of the Act on Museums;
5. students of Polish sections operating in schools operating in the education systems of other countries, no longer than until they reach the age of 18 – art. 10 sec. 3 in connection with sec. 3a item 5) of the Act on Museums;
6. students of European schools operating on the basis of the Convention on the Statute of European Schools, drawn up in Luxembourg on 21 June 1994 (Journal of Laws of 2005, item 10) receiving instruction in Polish, history, geography, Polish culture or other subjects taught in Polish, no longer than until they reach the age of 18 – art. 10 sec. 3 in connection with sec. 3a item 6) the Act on Museums:
7. persons over 65 years of age, retirees, pensioners, social pensioners, disabled persons together with carers - visiting exhibitions individually, who are citizens of the Member States of the European Union, the Swiss Confederation and the Member States of the European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA) - parties to the agreement
on the European Economic Area - art. 10 sec. 3 in connection with sec. 3a point 7).
8. teachers:
a) schools and educational system facilities, reformatories and shelters for minors - art. 10 sec. 3 in connection with sec. 3a item 8 letter a) of the Act on Museums,
b) schools operating in the Member States of the European Union, the Swiss Confederation and the Member States of the European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA) - parties to the agreement on the European Economic Area - art. 10 sec. 3 in connection with sec. 3a item 8 letter b) of the Act on Museums,
c) schools run by social organizations abroad, registered in the database kept by an authorized entity subordinate to the minister responsible for education and upbringing - art. 10 sec. 3 in connection with sec. 3a item 8 letter c) of the Act on Museums,
d) teaching Polish, history, geography, Polish culture or other subjects taught in Polish in:
· schools operating in the education systems of other countries,
· Polish sections operating in the education systems of other countries,
· European schools operating on the basis of the Convention on the Statute of the European Schools, drawn up in Luxembourg on 21 June 1994;
– art. 10 sec. 3 in connection with sec. 3a item 8d) of the Act on Museums
9. natural persons awarded the badge “For the care of monuments”, the honorary badge “Meritorious cultural activist”, the honorary badge “Meritorious for Polish Culture” or distinguished with the honorary title “Meritorious for National Culture” – art. 10 sec. 3 in connection with sec. 3a item 9) of the Act on Museums;
10. war veterans – art. 10 sec. 3 in connection with sec. 3a item 10) of the Act on Museum
III. The admission fee of PLN 1 for the exhibitions in the Sądecka Land Museum is granted (pursuant to art. 10 sec. 3 of the Act on Museums):
Persons who have been granted the status of an anti-communist opposition activist, repressed during the Polish People's Republic and who have an appropriate ID (entered into the official, official register of repressed persons) IN ACCORDANCE WITH the Act of 20 March 2015 on anti-communist opposition activists and persons repressed for political reasons (i.e. Journal of Laws 2018 item 690, as amended)
IV. The admission fee is PLN 3. for exhibitions in the Sądecka Land Museum (pursuant to Article 10, Section 3 of the Act on Museums):
1. participants of organized groups of disabled persons (together with guardians) who are citizens of the member states of the European Union, the Swiss Confederation and the member states of the European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA) – parties to the agreement on the European Economic Area
V. The admission fee of PLN 5 for the exhibitions at the Sądecka Land Museum is payable (pursuant to art. 10 sec. 3 of the Act on Museums):
1. to those entitled under the Nowy Sącz Family Card.
The documents confirming the entitlement to a discount on the admission fee to the exhibitions at the Sądecka Land Museum are the documents listed in § 1 of the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of 20 July 2017 on the types of documents confirming the entitlement to a discount on the admission fee or exemption from the admission fee to state museums:
1) school, student, graduate or PhD student ID;
2) student ID issued by the consul of the Republic of Poland pursuant to art. 6 sec. 3 of the Act of 20 June 1992 on the entitlement to reduced fares on public transport (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2018, item 292)
3) teacher's ID card issued by the consul of the Republic of Poland on the basis of art. 6 sec. 3 of the Act of 20 June 1992 on the entitlement to reduced fares on public transport;
4) pensioner ID card;
5) ID card documenting disability or degree of disability;
6) service ID card for persons referred to in art. 10 sec. 3a item 8 letters a and b of the Act of 21 November 1996 on museums, hereinafter referred to as the "Act";
7) ID card confirming the award of a badge or title referred to in art. 10 sec. 3a item 9 of the Act;
8) certificate or ID card confirming veteran entitlements;
9) document confirming age;
10) other document confirming the entitlement of persons referred to in:
a) art. 10 sec. 3a item 2, item 7 and item 8 letter b of the Act, issued in a Member State of the European Union other than the Republic of Poland, the Swiss Confederation and in the Member States of the European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA) – parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area,
b) Art. 10 sec. 3a item 8 letter c of the Act.
- a group of persons entitled to free admission and reduced fees at the Sądecka Land Museum - types of documents confirming entitlement to a fee reduction or exemption from the entry fee to the Sądecka Land Museum.

7) ID card confirming the award of a badge or title referred to in art. 10 sec. 3a item 9 of the Act;
8) certificate or ID card confirming veteran entitlements;
9) document confirming age;
10) other document confirming the entitlement of persons referred to in:
a) art. 10 sec. 3a item 2, item 7 and item 8 letter b of the Act, issued in a Member State of the European Union other than the Republic of Poland, the Swiss Confederation and in the Member States of the European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA) – parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area,
b) Art. 10 sec. 3a item 8 letter c of the Act.
