Lecture "Regional changes, programs and attempts at reforms of the Habsburg Monarchy from the Spring of Nations to the Great War on the basis of nationality issues (1848/49-1914/18)"

On May 29, 2025, historians from Nowy Sącz and enthusiasts of this field listened to a lecture entitled "Regional transformations, programs and attempts at reforms of the Habsburg Monarchy from the Spring of Nations to the Great War on the basis of nationality issues (1848/49-1914/18)". The speaker, Jakub Forst-Battaglia, came from Vienna, with which he is connected by family and work. He defended his doctorate in European and modern history at the University of Vienna, where he also lectured. He also worked for Austrian public television and the Austrian Academy of Sciences. As a diplomat, he worked in Moscow, Madrid, Tallinn, Kiev and Prague. He is the author of numerous publications and cultural and historical guides about Poland and Hungary and the Habsburg Monarchy.
