An organ of order and peace in the hands of democracy… The security apparatus in the Nowy Sącz district in the years 1945–1975

The book presents the activities of the security apparatus in the Nowy Sącz district in the years 1945–1975. Discussed, among others the process of organizing the security apparatus in the Nowy Sącz poviat, its structure and the changes it underwent in the following years. The activities of operational divisions, the Investigation Department, auxiliary divisions and non-operational units were analysed. In addition, officers belonging to the management staff were presented, as well as the personnel and a group portrait of the officers of the UB/SB in Nowy Sącz. The annex contains a list of various categories of operational cases established and conducted by the UB and SB in the years 1955–1975.
